Join us for pumpkin picking fun and more at Sompting Pumpkins!

With October just a (witches’ cat) whisker away, we’ve been busy on the farm nurturing our prize pumpkins and casting our Halloween magic on site to bring you what promises to be a fun-filled place to visit for all ages this October!

We’re pleased to share some more crafting activities and locally sourced produce that will be available including delicious crepes and raclettes, pizza, burgers, Caroline’s Dairy ice cream and more! There will also be hot drinks, face painting and crafting for all ages! Bringing something a little bit different this year, The Ornamental Candle Company will be selling Halloween themed candles lovingly made in Worthing!

There will also be some creative masterpieces from local artist Charlie Anderson, including quirky zombie chickens and more, not to mention an appearance from our much-loved sheep who will be joining in the fun!

Keep your eyes peeled!

We’ll be hiding our shiny golden ceramic pumpkin each day on site throughout October. See if you can find the golden beauty in amongst the pumpkins on the farm to win a free pumpkin!

We’ll be running our famous tractor and trailer rides with tours and talks from Farmer Caroline, with all profits from the rides going to our chosen charity for 2025 – Chestnut Tree House.

We’ll also be holding a charity day to support West Sussex Mind on Saturday 11th October (the day after World Mental Health Day).

Useful Information

Whilst close by, our pumpkin field is not visible from the A27 this year, however access is by the same entrance as usual off Halewick Lane.

Although we love all animals, unfortunately we cannot allow dogs on site for hygiene and health and safety reasons. However, they are welcome in the car park area which adjoins extensive public footpaths over the South Downs. For more information on what to expect and useful information, visit our FAQs page.
