With pumpkin picking season just around the corner, we’ve put together some useful information and FAQs to make your visit to us this October as hassle-free as possible!

This year, our pumpkin field is located directly next to the A27 with easy access, plenty of parking and more crafty fun and local food and drink for you to enjoy while you visit.

When are we open??

Sompting Pumpkin Patch is open during October on the following dates:

Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th

Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th

Saturday 21st  – Sunday 29th October 2023.

Gates open at 10am and close at 4.30pm. Last entry is at 4pm

Is there an Entrance Charge?

No entrance charge and a large field where we offer free parking. Please be respectful of our farm and take any litter home or put in the large bins provided

Where is the Pumpkin Field?

The entrance to the field is off Halewick Lane, Sompting BN15 0NE. The event is well signposted along the A27 from Brighton and Worthing

Are dogs allowed?

Unfortunately we cannot welcome dogs to the patch for health and safety reasons

Is the Pumpkin Field easy to access?

The field is just off the A27 and easy to access by car or foot. There is a bus stop on Halewick Lane.Young girl having her face painted beside small girl in yellow coat

Will we be open if it is raining?

Yes we will only close if the weather is so bad that the site becomes inaccessible or a possible danger to the public. Don’t forget to wear sensible outdoor clothing and boots as the field gets muddy!

What other activities are available?

We have a dedicated crafts area in our marquee where you can paint and create. We have various halloween themed crafts available. There are tractor rides on the weekends and a facepainter will be at the event each day.

Is there food and drink at the event?

Yes, we have several local food vendors at the event including Pizza, burgers, ice cream, loaded fries, coffee, soft drinks and pastries.

How do I carry my pumpkins to my car?

We provide wheelbarrows to transport the pumpkins around the site.

Are there First Aid Facilities?

Yes at the kiosk on entry to the site and a qualified first aider will be on site at all times

How do I pay?

Both cash and card are accepted at the event

Are there toilet facilities?

Yes we have plenty of toilets on site

Are we the Picking Patch?

No!  We are the family who run the farm. We operate on the same google pin at Halewick Lane but took the event back in house last year.
