As we count down the weeks to pumpkin season, we’ve been busy planning lots of fun activities and things for you to enjoy when you visit us this October.

Ghoul-d to know…

We’ll have some fright-fully good props on site, handcrafted by local artist and recent graduate from Northbrook College, Charlie Anderson.

Supporting local…

As usual, we have been working with Sussex businesses to share our ‘local and sustainable’ ethos here on the farm. These include:

We will also be doing our usual charity tractor and trailer rides, as well as more crafts, food vendors and activities which will be announced soon! You can also see our FAQs page for additional information too.

Our confirmed dates for pumpkin picking fun in 2025 are 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th and 25th-31st October. We’ll be in a different field this year but still at the same place, same entrance/access and same great atmosphere for family pumpkin fun in West Sussex!

Rain is not for everyone, but for our thirsty pumpkins it’s been just what was needed! Here’s a picture of some of our pumpkins growing big and strong after some overdue rain!

Hey Gourd-lookin’!

This year we are growing an amazing variety of gourds, squash and pumpkins of blue, pink, yellow, green, white, red and orange colours. We’ll have 21 pumpkin varieties for you to see on the farm including Mellow Yellow, Polar Bear, Zombie, Kabocha, Crown Prince, Wicked, Porcelain Doll, Goosebumps and Jill Be Little!

Gourd vibes only

We will be working with local charities throughout the season, including a charity day for West Sussex Mind on Saturday 11th October (the day after World Mental Health Day) and supporting our other local chosen charity, Chestnut Tree House.

As a family of passionate farmers, we love using all the different parts of each of the pumpkins that we grow to avoid waste, as with everything else we grow on our farm.

Last year, we discovered more delicious pumpkin recipes – from baking the seeds and baking with salt, pepper and chili flakes as the perfect snack, to using the tasty pumpkin flesh to make a hearty meal for all the family – like this vegan Thai red curry recipe.
